Privacy policy

How Hyperstep handles information across our apps, website, and customer support. App features and data practices vary; read the sections that apply to the app you use together with its app-specific privacy notice.

Scope and app-specific information

This policy applies to hyperstep.net, our support correspondence, and Hyperstep apps that link to it. It sets out our shared privacy framework. It does not mean that all apps collect the same data, have the same permissions, or operate entirely offline. For an app that processes personal information beyond the practices expressly described here, an app-specific notice is needed to identify the actual data, purposes, recipients, retention, and available controls. A specific notice supplements this policy for that app; a general description of an optional feature is not a statement that your app uses it.

Apps that process information on your device

Where an app identifies a feature as on-device only, the content processed by that feature stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up. Access to content for local processing is different from transmitting it to Hyperstep. This statement applies only to features confirmed as on-device; it is not a blanket claim about all Hyperstep apps. User-initiated exports and backups may be handled by the destination or storage provider you choose.

Permissions and your controls

Depending on its features, an app may request access to the camera, microphone, photos, selected files, or other system resources. The app’s permission explanation should identify why access is needed. Granting a device permission does not by itself describe whether information is transmitted; consult the app-specific notice for that distinction. You can manage supported permissions in your device’s privacy settings. Withholding or revoking permission may make the related feature unavailable.

Accounts, online features, and external processing

Login, cloud services, and external data transfers differ between apps. Where offered, the app-specific notice needs to identify the account or content data involved, why it is processed, the service providers or other recipients, retention periods or criteria, and the available deletion controls. An app must not be assumed to have no external processing simply because it does not require a Hyperstep account or a dedicated Hyperstep server.

Internal use for bug fixes and app improvements

When Hyperstep collects app usage or diagnostic information, we use it solely within Hyperstep to identify and fix bugs and improve app quality, stability, performance, and usability. Access is limited to personnel who need the information for those purposes. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes. This purpose limitation does not mean that every app collects such information or that all processing takes place on your device. If an app uses an external service provider or SDK to process this information, the app-specific notice must identify the provider and describe the information transmitted and its handling; this clause does not authorize the provider to use the information for its own advertising or unrelated purposes.

Advertising, analytics, and diagnostics

Advertising, analytics, and error-reporting SDKs are not shared assumptions across our apps. For an app that uses them, its specific notice needs to name the providers and explain the information disclosed, the purposes, and relevant choices. The absence of analytics on this website does not establish the absence of analytics in an app. Any tracking that requires permission is subject to the applicable platform consent requirements.

iCloud and backups

iCloud synchronization is available only where an app expressly offers it. The app-specific notice needs to explain what is synchronized and how to manage or delete that information. Device backups and user-selected storage services may retain copies independently of the app. Removing an app does not necessarily remove exported files, cloud copies, or backups; manage those copies through the relevant device or service settings.

App Store in-app purchases

Purchases inside Hyperstep apps use Apple’s App Store in-app purchase system. Apple processes billing and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy; Hyperstep does not receive your full payment card details from that payment flow. An app may use purchase and entitlement information supplied by Apple to determine access to purchased features and restore eligible purchases. Any storage or transmission of transaction information beyond on-device purchase handling must be explained in that app’s specific notice.

Storage, deletion, and withdrawal

For information stored only on your device, use the app’s available deletion controls and your device’s file or storage settings. Deleting the app may remove its private local data, but separately saved files, credentials, backups, and synchronized copies may remain. For information held by Hyperstep, contact [email protected] with the app name and your request. App-specific retention periods, account deletion, and consent withdrawal procedures depend on the actual service and must be described for that app. Do not send your password or full payment details.
